There’s this belief that eventually the stars align and each person gets their moment. But what happens when your moment arrives and you’re not available for it (or worse, you show up late)?
No matter how big a moment or opportunity might be, it will amount to nothing if you’re not available to seize it.
Availability is a universal principle. It could be for anything: a life changing call or DM, a recording session, video shoot, record deal meeting or epic concert performance – you have to show up and be available for it to happen.
In addition, we often anticipate big breakthroughs and wish to move to the next level in whatever we do, so much that we sometimes overlook an important principle – preparation.
Let’s say you’re an artist and we get you a 1 hour set at the biggest festival on the continent, can you deliver? Are you able to perform live? Can your voice stay consistent for an hour? Do you even have 1 hour worth of content to perform? Would you handle the fame and criticism that comes with that?
Despite being available for a moment, if you’re not prepared for it, you might even wish you hadn’t had it. You might either ruin it or it might ruin you.
Ultimately, if you’re prepared and available, it’s true to say your time will definitely come.
